Jps 100K To Every County Except Britain GAA ?

(Oldest Posts First)

82 clubs in the England ,Wales & Scotland a lot without the facilities , community support and funding clubs in Ireland get.
Clubs over here desperately need funding to survive yet we keep getting forgot about.

31 Clubs in London & 51 Clubs outside of London a 100k each would be a massive help for these clubs continue.

Got Another 200k JP would be much appreciated here ? you did make most of it on the race tracks over here !?

A reminder :

Britain GAA is the only Provincial Council of the GAA outside of Ireland. The Provincial Council of Britain is made up of seven counties Scotland, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Warwickshire, Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire and London. Britain GAA is also responsible for Gaelic Football and Hurling which is played in primary and secondary schools as well as in universities throughout Britain. Each County has a dedicated CDA promoting games in Schools, Universities and working with underage Clubs.

London play in the Senior Connacht Football Championship & Allianz Football League Div 4 & the Christy Ring Cup, Intermediate Hurling Championship & Allianz Hurling League 2A; Warwickshire play in the Allianz Hurling League Div 3 B & the Lory Meagher Hurling Cup and Lancashire play in the Lory Meagher Hurling Cup.

Not to mention the all-Ireland club competition or the Ladies at same levels also.

What a cheeky post!

It seems to translate "they got theirs, where is ours?"

You don't seem to grasp the difference between a very generous voluntary gift and a handout or entitlement.

JP has been an outstanding supporter of the GAA for all of his adult life and has chosen to make a gift to clubs in Ireland.

The response should be "thanks JP - your generosity is appreciated".

Keeping a club going in GB is not easy (I know through experience going back around 30 years) but it is not his responsibility to fund the GAA in Britain or anywhere else.
