Birmingham GAA club 'devastated' by player's death

June 28, 2015

James Connollys GFC, Warwickshire.

The James Connolly's GAA club in Birmingham has paid tribute to Joel Richards, who was one of the 38 victims of the Tunisian massacre.

The 22-year-old represented both Connolly's and Warwickshire with distinction and was also a well-known soccer referee. His grandfather Patrick Evans and uncle Adrian Evans were also killed in the attack.

Three Irish - Lorna Carty from Co. Meath and husband-and-wife Laurence and Martina Hayes from Athlone - also lost their lives in Friday's atrocity.
