New Season
Harlesden Harps continued their early season preparation with a first run out in Ruislip last Saturday with a Murphy Cup fixture against St Brendan's. Unfortunately, the strong gusting wind was the dominant factor throughout this game and made for difficult footballing conditions for both teams. Despite this a high quality game of football was served up, especially by the Harps in the first half which they dominated and but for some wayward shooting would have been further than the seven points to two lead they had at half time. Although St Brendan's did come more into the game in the second half it took a late goal for them to eventually forge ahead in the game. Harps showed their battling qualities and fully deserved their equaliser from the deadly accurate citóg of Pauric Sweeney. Unfortunately, due to other results a draw was not enough for the Harps to progress further in the competition but nevertheless it has been useful in integrating new players into the team and getting players match fitness levels up to speed.

Senior Training
Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). New players are always welcome to this well run club which if needed can offer good jobs, accommodation and a social life to their members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.
We would like to welcome Bernie McManamon to the coaching set up of the club. Bernie is well known in London GAA circles and will bring years of hardened, top level experience to help the Harps in their championship quest for 2015. Joe Lynch remains as manager for 2015 and would encourage anyone wanting to be involved in a positive and fun training environment to contact him on 07584374236. Next Match
The next match will be the first league fixture of the season with it currently scheduled for Saturday 25/04/15 at 15:00 in Greenford against St Brendan's. These details will be confirmed closer to the date.
