St Dympnas GFC Luton Club Notes

September 12, 2014

The Seniors booked their place in the Cahill & Hurley Cup Final last Saturday with a fine 4-15 to 2-12 win over Glen Rovers in Watford. Some fantastic performances throughout the team with Luke Moloney scoring 0-09 and giving his marker a torrid time.

It's the same again this Sunday afternoon at 2pm at Oxhey Park against Glen Rovers, this time in the Fr O'Hanlon Cup Semi-Final. Would be a great achievement to reach 2 Finals as we look to end this year on a high and build for 2015.

Best of Luck to Barry Flanagan who is returning to Fermanagh next week. Barry has been an excellent servant to the club and we wish him all the best.

Tickets are selling well for our Halloween Spooktacular at Geordies on Friday 31st October with music from The Bible Code Sundays. Tickets are £5 and we advise to get yours early to avoid disappointment.

Underage Training returned last Saturday at St.Josephs and the fixtures are coming thick and fast for all age groups throughout September.

Our u14s take on St.Josephs in the League Semi-Final in Waltham Cross on Saturday 13th September with a 2.30pm throw-in. Players asked to meet at Gardenia Avenue at 1pm. Training will take place as normal for u8s/10s & 16s at St.Josephs, Gardenia Avenue.

Then next Saturday 20th September the club is taking our u8s & 12s to take part in St.Josephs Club Day in Waltham Cross.

On Saturday 27th September we again take our u8s & 12s to Glen Rovers for a blitz which is followed by the u14 league Final which we hope St Dympnas will be involved in.

The u16 league will be played out in a Blitz on Saturday 4th October in St Albans with all 4 teams taking part. This is followed by the Championship Semi-Final against St.Colmcilles on Saturday October 11th at 3pm in Sundon Park, with the final on Saturday 18th.
