London manager Paul Coggins believes that the GAA's deal with SKY Sports can help build the Exiles profile.

Coggins points to the fact that when the U.K broadcaster screened excerpts from some of London's championship games in 2011 on SKY Sports News, it raised the profile of the team over there.

And the Roscommon native believes that if they gain more coverage through the new deal, then it can be only for the good of Gaelic games in the U.K.

Speaking to the Irish Post he said: Sky have always supported London. In 2011, they covered the matches with Fermanagh and Waterford on Sky Sports News. The coverage definitely raised the profile of the games here.

"You'd walk into a place afterwards and people would recognise you from seeing you on the TV. Not that you'd be looking for it but that can only be a good thing for the games here."
