Tyrone ladies football

August 24, 2015

The Patrick Fahy and Co Solicitors Tyrone senior football championship semi-final at Ballinamullan on Saturday was abandoned in fading light with Errigal leading Carrickmore by four points with just nine minutes remaining. Referee Kevin Bogle called time for the sake of player safety as darkness dropped, the game had started over 15 minutes late and there had been several stoppages including a  delay when  County star Shannon Quinn suffered a neck injury and was removed to hospital. The earlier junior semi-final between Trillick and Loughmacrory overran after a player sustained a serious knee injury. The Tyrone ladies county board will meet to discuss the next step although a refixture is the most likely outcome. Reigning champions St Macartans await the winners.

Glenelly and Clan na nGael will meet in a North Tyrone derby intermediate final while Trillick edged to a junior final meeting with surprise packets Edendork.
