Senior Championship this weekend for our Senior Men when they travel to Tattyreagh on Saturday afternoon for a 2pm throw-in against Fintona. We wish the team and management all the best of luck and hope that we get a bit of a run in the competition to keep the excitement levels up in preparation for our County's All Ireland Final appearance. The game on Saturday is a double header with Newtownstewart and Brockagh following our game, so be sure to be up at the venue early enough to get the best possible view to roar on the team.
Our U16 team entertained Stewartstown at home on Thursday past, emerging victorious on a final score line of 3:14 to 3:04. The team played some great attacking football in the first half with goals from Cahil Rafferty and Eoin Millar contributing to a nine point lead at the break, 2:08 to 1:02. Credit to Stewartstown who fought back early in the second half to reduce the deficit to five points. The lads knuckled down again and thanks to some fine Michael Gormley scores from distance and a second Eoin Millar goal, stretched the lead to ten points at the finish. Next game is home to Derrylaughan this Wednesday 15th at 7:15.
Training continues for U8,10 and 12 this Wednesday night on the back pitch from 7-8pm with a game on Monday 20th, no venue or opposition yet.
U16 girls continue their training and have their first league game of 2018 with a home game against Errigal Ciaran this Thursday at 7:30.
Well done to our U12 Girls who took part in The Moy Tournament on Saturday past where in the group stage beat Pomeroy and Cappagh, drew with Armagh Harps and were defeated by Steelstown. That meant they made it into the Plate Competition where they went on to beat Trillick in the Quarter Final and Magherafelt in the Semi Final. In the Final they were paired against Clann Eireann and after a spirited effort were unfortunately pipped at the post by a couple of points. A great days football was had by all with each and every girl playing their part. Thanks to Moy for their hospitality and to Shane and Paul for managing the team. Special mention must go to Sasha Hughes who was awarded Player of the Tournament. The team is back in action on Tuesday 14th with an away game to Carrickmore, leaving the pitch at 6:30.
U8 and 10 girls training is back on as normal on Thursday from 6-7.
Tyrone Senior Ladies take on Sligo this Saturday in Ballyshannon in the Intermediate All Ireland Semi Final. That game is in Fr Tierney Park at 4pm and unfortunately for our club  there is a clash of fixtures as our Senior team play in the Championship at 2pm. Best of luck to our own Emma and Grainne and Gerry Moane's team as they try to reach a second All Ireland Final in two years.
