Quick turnaround doesn't faze Burns

Tyrone will be in good shape for their All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Monaghan, despite having had little break in the last two months, according to defender Frank Burns.

Having coming through a hectic qualifier run and then the Super 8's, Tyrone have had little time to recuperate between games, but Burns believes that has helped maintain their momentum.

They must keep that momentum going into Sunday as they prepare to face a Monaghan side that have beaten them already in this year's championship.

And Burns who has had an excellent year at centre back is confident that tiredness will not be a factor this weekend.

"There's been a quick week break between the Donegal game and now Monaghan on Sunday. It's a game that we'll definitely be looking forward to," Burns told the Ulster Herald.

"The short break isn't going to be a big deal because of the way in which the All-Ireland qualifiers were played each week. We had two weeks then between the Dublin and Donegal games which nearly felt like a long time.

"There's no issue with the short break and it's just great to be back in an All-Ireland semi-final again."
