While pleased with his side's strong finish against Waterford yesterday, Cork manager John Meyler admitted that their performance won't be good enough to beat Clare in the Munster SHC final.

"We're in the Munster final. We set our game-plan out way back in January, that we'd be one of the three teams to qualify out of this group for the quarter-finals or whatever," he is quoted as saying in the Irish Examiner.

"The game today afforded us the opportunity to reach a Munster final, we've reached a Munster final, and that's it in a nutshell.

"We have Clare in a couple of weeks but that performance today wouldn't do. The last 10 minutes were very good but we need to look at that and examine it going forward."
