Limerick have welcomed back All-Ireland U21 winning centre-back Kyle Hayes ahead of this Sunday's crunch promotion clash against Galway.

Hayes had been sidelined by injury since the beginning of the season but could feature when the Shannonsiders travel to Salthill this weekend in a bid to down the All-Ireland champions for a place in Division 1A next season.

There had also been question marks over the fitness of Seamus Flanagan, Barry Murphy and Sean Finn for the Round 5 clash but manager John Kiely has confirmed their availability, pointing to last weekend's postponement due to Storm Emma as a benefit to his team's preparations.

"It was ideal because we had a couple of guys with knocks and there were quite a few lads who were glad to get a couple of days," Kiely told the Limerick Leader.

"At the end of the day we only missed out on one session (Friday) so the players had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday as rest which they wouldn't have got in a long time and hopefully it will be good for them."
