Kilcormac/Killoughey manager Stephen Byrne believes that no one will give them a chance against defending champion Cuala in the Leinster club SHC final.

The Offaly champions produced an excellent second half display to ease past Carlow side Mount Leinster Rangers in the semi-final last weekend, despite playing over half the game with 14 men after Cillian Kiely was sent off.

It was an outstanding performance by K/K who also lost their captain Peter Healion through injury early in the game.

However, they will still be rank outsiders against the Dublin outfit who easily saw off the challenge of Wexford champions St Martin's in the other semi-final.

And speaking to the Midland Tribune, Byrne stressed that they would be given no chance by the pundits.

"We are going into a game where we will be completely written off," stated the Kilcormac/Killoughey manager and former Offaly goalkeeper.

"We are in a position where we won't be favourites but having said that, we have a bit of work to do over the next few weeks and we won't be going in there lightly."
