Na Piarsaigh's David Breen believes all the travelling back and forth from the U.K is well worth it as they prepare for yet another Munster club SHC final.

Breen works as a physio for the Wasps Rugby club for the past year and a half, but has continued playing for his home town club who are seeking their fourth provincial title in seven years when they face Ballygunner on Sunday.

The talented forward will fly in from Shannon on Friday evening in preparation for the final and he revealed to the Limerick Leader that he is training hard over at Wasps' training ground.

"One of the other physios played hockey at a pretty high level and was interested so I introduced him to hurling. It's great because I would have six or seven sliotars and puck them over the bar and have to retrieve but now to have someone pucking them out from behind the goal is great and it helps keep my eye sharp and helps to be running on to a sliotar for first touch and things like that," said Breen.

"I have my own training routine and Alan Cunningham gave me some ball wall sessions and drills. The last thing I want is to be taking the place of someone else who is training away at home so if they are doing three nights training, I do three or even four."

He added: "When I was interviewing they (Wasps) were aware that I played - last season was unfortunately short for us so there was not much of an issue but the boss is pretty accommodating.

"I want to enjoy it for as long as I can and I could just as easily go over on an ankle playing golf or five-a-side soccer."
