Pat Spillane has been impressed by Galway's attacking brand of football under Padraic Joyce this season.

The Tribesmen sit top of the Allianz League Division 1 table having scored 8-72 in five games and writing on his column for the Sunday World today, the Kerry legend says Joyce has "changed everything" since he took over the reins from Kevin Walsh last October.

"They are playing a brand of football traditionally associated with Galway, " stated Spillane. "It is positive and attack-orientated, with the ball being delivered into the forwards as quickly as possible.

"This is simply the Galway football DNA, because, along with Kerry, they have a long tradition of producing naturally talented forwards."
