Roscommon board elects first female secretary

Roscommon county board has tonight elected its first female secretary.

Valerie Murray of the Michael Glaveys club was elected at tonight’s county convention, succeeding the out-going Brian Carroll (Kilmore) who has stepped down after holding the post for five years.

Out-going assistant secretary Murray has also been succeeded by Gerry Keegan in her former post tonight.
