Ciaran Duggan has emerged as an injury doubt for Galway's Super 8s opener against Kerry in just under three weeks' time after sustaining a suspected broken wrist in a weekend club game.

The highly-rated midfielder, who marked his championship debut with a man of the match performance in last month's Connacht SFC quarter-final against Mayo, suffered the injury while played for Annaghdown against Killannin in Saturday night's drawn Galway SFC encounter at Pearse Stadium.

The Tribesmen can ill-afford to be without Duggan who has formed a formidable partnership with Thomas Flynn this season for the Connacht champions.
