Former Donegal midfielder John Haran has hung up his boots for good.

The 41-year-old made his Donegal debut in 1998 and was a key member of the team that reached the All-Ireland SFC semi-final in 2003. He first came to prominence with the star-studded St. Jarlath's College, Tuam side that captured the Hogan Cup in 1994.

Haran is one of the most decorated club footballers in Donegal. He has won eight Donegal SFC medals with St. Eunan's, with his late coming in 2014. He has now decided to bring the curtain down on his 23-year playing career with the O'Donnell Park outfit.
