Anthony O'Connor accounted for 1-7 as Knocknagree of Cork edged out Kerry's Dromid Pearses in an extra-time thriller at Mallow today.

The Rebel County representatives finished on the right side of the 1-17 to 2-11 scoreline thanks largely to the efforts of their number 14.

The sides finished level - Knocknagree 0-13, Dromid Pearses 2-7 -at the end of normal time.

Fintan O'Connor sent over an equaliser for the Cork outfit right at the death and they made the most of their second bite at the cherry.

Their full-forward's goal arrived in the first period of extra-time and proved to be decisive.

Gearoid Jackie O'Sullivan and Chris Farley netted for Dromid Pearses but they travelled home empty-handed.
