Tipperary have confirmed to Tipp FM's Extra Time that they will appeal Seamus Callanan's sending off against Offaly.

Full forward Callanan was shown a straight red card by referee John Keenan in the second half of yesterday's 1-16 to 0-13 NHL quarter-final win over the Faithful County following an off-the-ball incident with his direct opponent Dermot Shortt.

Eamon O'Shea's charges finished the game with 13-men after corner back Cathal Barrett was dismissed on a second yellow card.
