Lar Corbett has intimated that a knee injury could bring the curtain down on his illustrious intercounty career.

Time is against the former Hurler of the Year if he's going to feature for Tipperary in 2015 and the injured Thurles Sarsfields clubman admits that he's in no man's land at present:

"The knee has been an ongoing problem. I honestly don't know one way or another. I'm doing a bit of work myself - that's just the way it is. I'll have to see how it is over the next month. I'll know then." the 34-year-old told The Irish Examiner.

"It is the same problem as last year. I'll have to deal with it. If I get over it, I get over it, if I don't, I don't. I just don't know - there's no point in speculating. All I can do is just do what I'm doing and that's it.

"It's just life. It's part and parcel of sport. You have ups and downs, you have injuries. Hopefully I can get over and get out of this one. The only way to go back is if when you can actually offer something and be part of something, and you're worth something to whoever is there.

"There's no point going back hoping for the best, another throw of the dice. There is no point going back and being in the way. I'm a big believer if you have nothing to offer, stay at home."
