Thurles Sarsfields selector Paddy McCormack concedes that Loughmore-Castleiney are "a fantastic club".

The Mid rivals will come face to face in Sunday's Tipperary SHC final and McCormack has nothing but respect for the defending champions:

"I thought in my own playing days that when the McGraths, the Treacys and those lads were finished that we might see the back of Loughmore-Castleiney," he states in The Tipperary Star.

"Not at all. They are a fantastic club and they just keep on going with the next generation doing the business now all the time.

"You always know what you will get against them and we know the kind of challenge facing us on Sunday as well."
