James Woodlock admits Tipperary's performances haven't been up to scratch so far this year - but he expects them to reach their full potential against Munster rivals Cork in tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC semi-final.

The Premier midfielder will sample the unique atmosphere of Croke Park for the first time in five years having overcome a career-threatening leg injury.

He hopes the Croker sod will bring out the best in him and his team-mates: "We have to perform on the day and we haven't done that yet in any of the matches," he told the Irish Independent.

"It's coming, though. Croke Park is the place you want to play in. Apart from 2012, Tipperary have always performed well when they got there."

The Drom-Inch clubman's work rate around the middle third of the field often goes unnoticed but he's more than happy to put his shoulder to the wheel.

"I'm doing the grafting, I don't mind doing any kind of grafting for the team and getting the ball to someone else who can put the ball over the bar like Seamie Callanan.

"And I think we're not getting enough ball into them. If you get enough ball into those boys, they'll cause havoc."
