August 07, 2014
It was an unbelievably busy weekend in the 2014 Tipperary senior hurling championship.

A flurry of matches went down for decision as a host of teams put their season on the line around the county.

Drom & Inch are safely through to the knockout stage of the competition following their 1-20 to 1-16 defeat of Burgess, while Upperchurch Drombane's challenge is very much alive after their 3-15 to 1-16 victory over Killenaule.

There were also wins last weekend for Lorrha-Dorrha, Clonoulty-Rossmore, Moycarkey-Boris, Nenagh Eire Og, Holycross-Ballycahill, Kildangan, Knockavilla and Cappawhite, while Ballina are through to the last 16 by virtue of their draw with Ballingarry.

Meanwhile, Borris-Ileigh are through to the semi-finals of the North Tipperary SHC after beating Toomevara by 1-22 to 1-19 last weekend.

Brendan Maher registered 1-9 for the winners at Nenagh on Sunday, while Ken Dunne was also on target ten times for Toome'.
