Reigning senior hurling champions Clonoulty-Rossmore edged out Loughmore-Castleiney (1-33 to 3-22) in an preliminary quarter-final extra-time thriller at Littleton today and their reward is a quarter-final clash with Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Toomevara were also in preliminary quarter-final action today and they also required extra-time to see off the challenge of Mullinahone by 1-24 to 2-9.
