Semple Stadium may host further Feile gigs in the future, despite the low numbers attending last weekend’s event.

A major outing on the social calendar, the 'Trip to Tipp' drew thousands to Thurles during the early 1990s.

The event was revived last year and numbers were very good, but this year’s two-day gig was not as well supported.

A hike in ticket prices is believed to have been one of the main reasons for the low attendance, but that has not put off the organisers who are looking to host more concerts in the future.

A spokesperson for Semple Stadium has indicated that they are interested in pursuing further concerts at the famed old venue.
