Thanks to everyone for supporting our dinner dance last Friday night. A great night was had by all. Congrats to club player of the year Shane McDonnell and also to Club person of the year Christopher O'Dowd.  Chris has done so much work done through the years  with the club and was thoroughly deserving of the award.  The club thanks Fergal O'Donnell for attending on the night and congrats him and the Roscommon team on a great performance last Sunday. Congrats also to our very own Niall Lynch who was announced last week by Club Rossie as Junior club footballer of the year.

This Tuesday night 9th February sees the start of Operation Transformation in conjuntion with Sasta.  OT kicks off in the club rooms Pairc na nGael (also known as Showgrounds Boyle Rd)at 7pm.  Nutritionalist Gwen Fitzgibbons will weigh everyone in and give a talk. There will be group walks organsied and exercise classes.  The programme will run right through Lent and the final weigh in will be Easter week.  Registration will be 10 euro on the night.

Registration fees are now due.  As cover under the Injury Fund is now provided on a calendar year basis from Jan 1st to Dec 31st all players, officals and members must register before any activities commence.

The lotto draw was held in Four Provinces on Saturday night last. There was no winner of the jackpot.  20 euro winners Aidan Kelleher Cortober, Seamus Ryan Rathallen, Margaret McTiernan Carrick, Hugh & Marie Boyd Ballinavilla, Elaine Cox c/o Cryans.  Next draw takes place in Dickies.  Jackpot 1,850.

Anyone who still has tickets for the GAA National Draw is asked to return ticket counterfoil and remittances to treasurer Ciaran Gannon immediately.  You can contact Ciaran on 0868502888.

Our Kilmore/Shannon Gaels U16 team had their first outing of the league on Saturday last against St. Ciarans but unfortunately were defeated on a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-7.  Minors are due to play Eire Og this Saturday at 3.30.  Check fixtures for details.

Best of luck to Alo O'Dowd who travelled to Kenya last Sunday volunteering for Ray of Sunshine Ireland.

The meal was superb and they were so helpful and accommodating. Also massive congratulations to him and all the Roscommon team on their great win over Kerry.

The final trials for the U14 county team were held at the weekend and we have a number of girls making the final panel. Details will be confirmed next week.  Well done girls.
