O Gara Cup

Our Murtaghs bar sponsored O Gara cup team made the journey to Kiltoom on Friday evening last to take on Castlerea St Kevins in a league play-off for a spot in the O Gara cup semi final. After a slow start the lads battled back well into the game and went in at half time 2 points down. A great second half performance saw us run out 2 point winners on a 0-14 to 0-12 scoreline. Next up is St Croans in the O Gara cup semi final with the winner of that game playing Senior O Rourke cup football in 2016. This game against St Croans is looking like been played this Sunday at 2pm in Enfield. We would appeal to everyone in the parish to make the journey to Enfield to support the team.

U-20

Our U-20 game against St Aidans due to be played last weekend was postponed as St Aidans had players involved with the Four Roads hurling team on Saturday. This game has yet to be re-fixed.

 

Other News

Well done to Jack Sharkey who won our 50/50 jackpot of €327. Our €25 winners were Seamus Burke, Teresa Kenoy, Michael HP Connellan and Ronnie & Mairead. Thanks to Harry Reynolds and his team of sellers for their great work. Next on selling duty is Gerry Tiernans team. The club extends its sympathy to the Reynolds family, Aughrim on the recent death of Olivia Reynolds mother. The club are currently looking for recruits to take part in Scor na Nog or adult Scor. Anyone interested in encouarged to contact any officer of the club.
