Kerry will play Roscommon in next month's All-Ireland 'B' minor hurling championship final after both sides came through their respective semi-finals this afternoon.

The Kingdom were made to fend off a late comeback from Down in Newbridge, where first-half goals from Johnny Buckley and Shane Conway (penalty) kept the winners in front throughout.

The young Mourne men would plunder in two goals of their own in the second-half to keep the heat on their Munster opponents, whom finished with 14, but in Buckley and Conway the winners were able to consecutively raise the white flag for the 2-22 to 3-9 victory.

In Arklow, Roscommon were also made hold on against a spirited Wicklow side in order to secure their final berth, with a 2-13 to 1-14 placing them alongside Kerry for a shot at the silverware on September 5th.
