A one-match ban has been proposed for Roscommon forward Cathal Heneghan by the CCCC following an incident involving Kerry’s Jason Foley last Sunday.

Heneghan was suspended retrospectively after TV cameras appeared to show him standing on the Kerry full back’s right leg after he scored a 54th minute goal during the Allianz Football League Division 1 clash at Hyde Park. Foley played on for a few moments afterwards before being replaced by Armin Heinrich.

If the Michael Glavey’s clubman accepts the recommended sanction, he will miss this Sunday’s do-or-die encounter with high-flying Derry in Celtic Park, but would be available for next month's Connacht SFC semi-final against either Mayo or New York.
