Roscommon manager Kevin McStay expects to have Niall McInerney available for selection after Easter.

Reports during the week suggested that McInerney had joined fellow Rossies defender Sean Mullooly in opting off the panel for the rest of the season.

However, the Irish Daily Star today reports that the St Brigid's clubman intends to line-out in the first round of his county's Connacht SFC title defence in the summer once he takes a break from his medical studies.

McStay's charges travel to Drogheda this weekend looking for their second win in the Allianz League, as they currently sit third from bottom above Clare and Sunday's opponents Louth.
