Duignan not coming back

Michael Duignan has confirmed that he doesn't intend to play hurling for Offaly again. Offaly supremo Michael Bond had hoped that Duignan was only taking a break and would come out of retirement before the Leinster Championship. However, Duignan has said that he will be concentrating solely on playing football with his new club Raheen in Kildare. "It was a very, very hard decision after all the years. If I was living in Offaly, there would have been no question of giving it up. Ever since the weather got better, I've missed it terribly," said the former St. Rynagh's clubman.
