JUNIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Raheen Junior Footballers are safely through to the Junior B Championship Quarter Finals as they cruised to victory over St Rynaghs in the final round last Friday evening in Geashill on a scoreline of 3-23 to 2-07. Raheen showed real hunger and determination as they built up a halftime lead of 2-13 to 1-06 with the second goal cracked to the net by John Ridgeway. St Rynaghs got in to score their 2nd goal straight from the re-start but this would be as close as they would come as after both sides adding a point apiece Raheen then added another point before sealing it with their 3rd goal when Conor McNally took a pass out on the sidline near midfield then soloing it into the square before laying it off to Nigel Gorman in the clear and he punched it in. Thereafter Raheen sailed home adding 8 points without reply to run out easy winners.

U14 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Na Fianna U14 Footballers  got their Championship campaign right back on track with a comprehensive win against Tullamore in Rd 3 last Monday week in Geashill on a scoreline of 5-21 to 2-05. Na Fianna had a couple of early chances before getting off the mark with their first goal after just 2 mins when Lee Mulpeter made a run down the wing before laying it off to Emmett Curley in the square who struck it to the net. Na Fianna then got 6 points in a row before Tullamore opened their account with a point on 10 mins but Na Fianna responded with their 2nd goal immediately when Mikey Buckley's high shot was punched to the net first time by Lee Mulpeter. Na Fianna kept rattling off the scores for the remainder of the first half as they added 10 more points with just a single pointed free reply from Tullamore to lead at the break by 2-16 to 0-02. Any hope of a comeback were quashed straight from the start of the second half as Na Fianna put over a point followed by goal no 3 inside the 1st min finshed to the net by Mikey Buckley.
