Shinrone and Rynagh's meet in U21HC final

July 04, 2014
Shinrone and St. Rynagh's face off in the U21HC final for the second year in-a-row at St. Brendan's Park tomorrow (throw-in 4pm).

Shinrone powered to a 3-17 to 1-10 victory in last year's decider, but tomorrow's game is expected to be a lot closer with Rynagh's having had Niall Wynne, Sean Dolan, Joe O'Connor and Simon Og Lyons on the Offaly team which succumbed to Wexford in last week's Leinster U21HC semi-final.

En route to the final, Shinrone overcame Seir Kieran Og and Coolddery, while Rynagh's saw off Kilcormac/Killoughey, who were minor champions in 2011, and Cuchulainn Gaels. There has been a long break since the semi-finals were played, but as reigning U21 and minor champions, Shinrone deserve to be favourites.
