DIVISION 4 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Raheen Junior Footballers completed the group stage of the Div 4 League with a hard fought win over the previously unbeaten Bracknagh in the final round last Monday week in Geashill on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-08 and now qualify for the Semi Final against fellow parish side Ballinagar. Raheen started brightly and had opened up a lead of 4 points to 1 midway through the first half. Bracknagh then put over the next 2 points to reduce it to the minimum but this was wiped out as Raheen sent over the final 2 points of the half to go in at the break leading 0-06 to 0-03. Raheen extended their lead with the first 2 points of the second half inside the first 10 mins. The next 15 mins saw Bracknagh just shade it as they tagged on 4 points to Raheen's 3 and this is how it remained until deep in stoppage time as Bracknagh rounded off the scoring sending over the final point.

DIVISION 2 FOOTBALL LEAGUE SEMI FINAL
Raheen Intermediate Footballers clinched the first County Final for the club this year as they secured their place in the Div 2 League Final by comfortably overcoming Daingean in the Semi Final last Sunday morning in Bracknagh on a scoreline of 3-17 to 1-12. Both sides were evenly balanced early on as they opened the scoring with 2 points apiece inside the first 5 mins before Raheen struck for the first goal on 8 mins when Brian Corcoran cleared the ball off his own goal line before working the ball quickly upfield through a number of players where it came to Danny McEvoy on the edge of the square and he blasted his shot in the top corner of the net. This set Raheen on their way and for the remainder of the first half they edged clear adding 9 points to Daigean's 5 and so at the break Raheen led 1-11 to 0-07. Raheen increased their lead with the first 3 points of the second half before Daingean gave themselves a lifeline, first with a point followed on 7 mins when a mixup in the Raheen defence was punished with a goal and they followed it up with the next point. This would be as good as it would get for Daingean as Raheen wrapped up the game as a contest first with next 2 points followed by goal no 2 on 13 mins when Paddy Rigney's high ball in from the wing was palmed to the net by Richie Reynolds and 3 mins later Danny McEvoy went on a solo run down the left wing all the way into the square before cracking the ball to the net for goal no 3. Daingean did add the next 3 points but it was too little too late as Raheen completed the scoring with the final point in the last min. Raheen will now meet neighbours Walsh Island in the Final which has yet to be fixed.
