Senior Footballers
Rhode Senior footballer's had a 2-09 to 0-09 win over Clara to reach the Offaly Senior football final where we will play Ferbane on Sunday October 13th. Further info on county final in the coming days. Rhode were 2-01 to 0-01 up after six minutes. The players showed great character and restraint with what occurred next and can be proud of their display. Rhode led to 2-05 to 0-2 at half-time. Rhode Kicked on in the second half with the final score reading 2-09 to 0-9 to claim a county final spot.

Rhode U'13 Footballers
Rhode U'13 footballers had an excellent win over Edenderry on a score-line of 3-15 to 2-09 last Wednesday night in wet conditions . Despite been two points down at half-time Rhodes never say die attitude seen them come out raring to go where they added all important scores to reach the county semi finals. Well Done team and management and very best of luck in the Semi's.
Minor Footballers
Hard luck to our Minor footballers were beaten by Ferbane/Belmont in the Shield A semi final yesterday evening on a score-line of 2-07 to 0-8. A special word of thanks to our players and the management team of Pat Daly, Alan Kellaghan, Pauric Dunne and Oliver Murphy on their great work throughout the year.
1969 winning County champions 50th Anniversary Celebrations
On Saturday October 19th we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of winning the 1969 Championship where they beat Erin Rovers in a replay. Mass will be celebrated for all deceased members of Rhode GAA at Saturday evening mass at 6;45pm followed by presentations to the Team of 1969 at 8:30pm in Killens Lounge. About That Goal a few weeks ago and can be purchased in our local shops. He is having a number of book launches with the final one in Rhode.

Lotto
There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 23rd of September for a Jackpot of €6,000. The numbers drawn were 6 7 12 13. The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €200.
