This would be a collector's item for any GAA follower.
A signed framed picture of Offaly's 1982 All-Ireland winning football panel will be auctioned in Doyle's Bar, Killeigh (between Tullamore and Mountmellick) this Sunday, March 10 with all proceeds going to Down Syndrome Offaly. Well-known Inpho photgrapher James Crombie from Kilbeggan is the man behind the auction and has already secured 19 signatures after travelling all over the country, including that of Seamus Darby, whose famous late goal ended Kerry's five-in-a-row dream.
Legendary dual star Liam Currams will also add his signature to the picture by driving two hours out of his way to Mullingar tomorrow.
Last week I decided to meet the members of the 1982 Offaly All Ireland winning team to see if they would support @DownSynOffaly for our auction, Sunday 10th March, Doyles Bar, Killeigh. 794 miles later, way to much tea, the result. DM @DownSynOffaly to place a bid PLEASE RETWEET pic.twitter.com/Tqh7pXr3ma
