FIXTURES.

While there is not the same extensive programme of games there are still a number of important championship matches on the club programme this weekend as well as a number of games in the senior, intermediate and Junior football leagues while this evening Thursday August 25th sees the staging of the senior hurling league final between Castleblayney and Inniskeen in Clontibret at 7 PM.

It is a similar situation in the one game in the McElvaney's Waste and Recycling intermediate football championship, Emyvale meeting Cremartin in Clontibret on Saturday at 4:15 PM.

LEAGUES.

There is just one game in the senior football league this weekend when Carrickmacross meet Castleblayney in Emmet Park on Saturday at 5:30 PM. On Sunday there are 3 games in the intermediate football league, Killanny at home to Tyholland, that one starting at 11 AM, Currin at home against Inniskeen and Aughnamullen away at Donaghmoyne, those 2 timed for 12:30 PM. In the Junior football league on Sunday in the cup section Eire Og are at home against Blackhill, Oram travel to Clones and Sean McDermotts are at home against Toome,  while in the shield section, Killeevan are at home against Scotstown and Drumhowan travel to Corduff, all 5 games timed for 12:30 PM.

MINOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION 2 FINAL.

Carrickmacross 2-7, Donaghmoyne 0-13.

Carrickmacross and Donaghmoyne have to meet again to decide who takes the minor football league division 2 cup after they finish all square at the end of a contest that built to a nerve tingling finish in Blackhill on Tuesday evening last. Overall a draw was probably a fair enough result but Donaghmoyne will have cause to look back on how they failed to push home their advantage when they led by 5 points entering the final quarter and could only register one further point as opposed to conceding 1-3, as Carrickmacross, despite being down to 14 men, put in a late rally.
