Seniors: After a predictably tense first half, we improved in the second half to beat Killeevan in the big championship clash last Saturday evening. Captain Mattie just about found time to make the match, swooping the pink bow tie of his wedding attire for the captains armband! The championship semi final v Rockcorry looks likely to be on the weekend of 11th-13th September. On the meantime, we face Aghabog on Wednesday (19th) at 7:15pm and Oram on Sunday 23rd at 5:30pm.

Juveniles: The minor final v Corduff has been postponed to next Tuesday at 7pm in Aughnamullen, while our under 16s are in semi final action this Thursday evening at 7:15pm away to Sean McDermotts. The under 14s welcome Magheracloone this Saturday at 12:00 in the final game of the league, having sealed their semi final spot last week by beating Emyvale away. Best wishes to all our young players and mentors in their big games in the weeks ahead!

Congratulations: As well as the championship game, there were 2 more significant matches in the Toome Community on Saturday. Damien O'Reilly married Aoife while David McDonnell married Rosemary. Congratulations to both couples.

Another Week, Another Wilson: Congratulations to Damien and Sarah Wilson on the birth of baby Donnacha, the Wilson brothers will soon need crèche facilities in a match day!
