Monaghan have injury concerns over Eoin Lennon, Dessie Mone and Owen Duffy for Sunday's NFL Division Two final.

The trio sat out last Wednesday night's round of local club league games and are in a race against time to be fit for the Croke Park clash, which is a repeat of last summer's Ulster final.

Midfielder Gavin Doogan has been ruled out of the match with a broken foot, while Darren Hughes admits he is nowhere near full match fitness.

Manager Malachy O'Rourke is keeping his fingers crossed that key men Lennon, Mone and Duffy will all make the cut:

"We already have Gavin Doogan out and we can't afford to have any other defections," he says in The Belfast Telegraph.

"Naturally, we want our strongest possible side on duty at Croke Park so that we can do ourselves justice. This is a huge match and the perfect kind of preparation for the forthcoming Ulster championship for both teams."
