Tyrone and Derry will face off in next Wednesday's Ulster U20FC final at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds following narrow semi-final victories last night.

Tyrone withstood a late Monaghan rally to hold on for a 2-9 to 0-14 victory at O'Neills Healy Park. The winners got off to a great start when Cormac Devlin netted in the fourth minute. However, scores from Stephen Mooney and Oisín McGorman meant Monaghan only trailed by a point, 0-7 to 1-5, at the break.

A Ronan Fox goal five minutes into the second half helped to push out Tyrone's lead to five before late Farney points from Mooney, Dara McKenna and Fionan Carolan left the minimum in it.

At Ballybofey, Derry came from behind to edge out Donegal 1-12 to 0-14 with Ryan McNicoll scoring a last-gasp winning point for the visitors.

Wtih Sean Martin and Karl Joseph Molloy among the scorers, Donegal led by 0-7 to 0-4 at half-time, but their lead was wiped out by an Oisín Doherty goal two minutes after the restart.

The hosts moved back in front through points from Senan Carr, Cian McMenamin and Karl McGee, but the Oak Leafers dug in and levelled through Kevin Lynch before McNicholl won it at the death.
