Mc Elvaney Waste & Recycling   I.F.C Group 2:

What a perfect setting for a game in a sun drenched O’Neill’s Park where we hosted Killanny on Saturday evening last in the 3rd round of the Mc Elvaneys Waste & Recycling I.F.C.

Straight from the throw in Jamie Walshe was fouled and Barry Mc Bennett stepped up and placed the ball over the bar opening up the scoring for Doohamlet.  Killanny scores two points in a row with Colin Walshe scoring a point from play to equal the sides.  Our wing half back Declan Walshe scores two consecutive points and Barry Mc Ginn added another point to the scoreboard, this left one point in the game at the water break.  After a few wides we finally got back on the scoreboard with a point from a free taken by Barry Mc Bennett.  Half time score Doohamlet 0-6, Killanny 0-7.

In the second half Paul Mc Ardle replaces an injured Colin Walshe.  Doohamlet opens up the second half with a free kick from Barry Mc Bennett.  Substitute for Doohamlet, Aidan Marray replaces Ryan Ingram in corner back.  Barry Mc Bennett places another well taken free but Killannys goal leaves us chasing the game from here on in.  Barry Mc Ginn scores a good point from play.  Hugh Mc Ginn is substituted for Ciarian Mc Manus.  Other substitutes made were Michael Marray for Sean Markey and Niall Johnny Connolly for Oisin O Neill.  Barry Mc Bennett finishes Doohamlet scoring with two well placed points leaving the final score Doohamlet 0-12 Killanny 1-15.  .  Doohamlet team:  James Casey, Ryan Ingram, Martin Hughes, Jason Mc Elroy, Gavin King, Conor Marray, Declan Walshe(0-2) Jamie Walshe, Barry Mc Bennett(Capt.)(0-7), Hugh Mc Ginn, Damien Ward, Colin Walshe(0-1), Oisin O Neill, Barry Mc Ginn(0-2), Sean Markey.  This wasn’t our greatest performance although our backs worked hard to defend the line and our keeper James doing his best in goals, the result ended up a disappointing one.  The team now regroup to play their next game away to Tyholland on Sunday @ 2pm
