XMAS PARTY: Our Christmas party was once again extremely well attended on Saturday night with up on 100 people enjoying a four course meal in the club, thanks to all those who attended and decorated our hall and club rooms for the event.

DATES FOR DIARY: 18TH January the club will host a child protection course for all coaches and committee members, Saturday 26th January Our Ladys Secondary school host a Coaching day with guest coaches Colin Nally (Meath Coach) Conor Laverty ( Kilcoo & former Down player) guest speaker Mickey Whelan former Dublin coach. The Q & A section will be facilitated by our Declan Mc Bennett who is currently head of sport in RTE. 

ORAM KIDS XMAS DISCO: This Sunday the 16th from 6-8pm music by DJ Austy, spot prizes for best XMAS Jumper, special guests Santa

 

MICK FANNING SHIELD: Our u-11s will receive there medals for the Harps tournament we won during the summer and the Liam Stirrat Cup, on Friday night in the club from 7pm, a well know inter-county player will be in attendance and refreshments will be served

 

VOLUNTEER OF YEAR: Congrats to Margaret Ward who received the clubs volunteer of the year award last night (Wednesday) in the four seasons. Margaret has been a long term member of our ladies committee always the first to volunteer for work behind the scenes at our many social events and club fundraisers and Breakfast mornings and Patrick Day parade.

 

YOUTH REFEREE: Well done to David Sheehy who was announced as the Juvenile referee of the year at the county convention last Thursday night. In his first year  David has officiated in numerous finals this year and championship games at adult level and is regarded as an up and coming referee in the county. David will receive his award at a function on the 18th January.

 

TEAM OF YEAR: Our fine run in this years Junior championship was recognised last Thursday night when Christopher Mc Geough & Pauric Graham were selected on the team of the year. Christopher won many admires this season his man marking of top some of the opposition top players were noted and in particular his performance in the semi final on county star Ryan Mc Nanespie was impressive, Pauric was joint 2nd top scorer in the championship hitting 23 points over the campaign and was deservedly selected at wing forward. Both players will receive there awards at a function in the New Year.

 

 

WINTER PROGRAM: Last couple sessions before the Xmas break on Tuesday & Thursday all new players welcome on designated nights.
