Emyvale Club Notes

June 19, 2018

Senior Reserves: Our reserves were in action last week where they played Castleblayney in the league. Despite getting off to a great start and leading at half time, Castleblayney mounted a comeback in the second half and ran out eventual winners on the night. Final score Castleblayney 1.14 - Emyvale 2.6.

Best wishes to Ryan and the Monaghan team this coming weekend where they take on Waterford in the All Ireland Championship Qualifiers.

It was a busy weekend for our Juvenile club members last weekend. A selection of U9 members travelled to Omagh to take part in a mini tournament. A great effort from the lads reaching the cup semi-final. Well done to all involved. Training continue for U9 and U7 in Tully on Friday evening at 6.50 - 8pm.

G4g, Gaelic for girls had their first blitz of the season in Tyrone on Saturday, well done to all who participated.

U11 started well in their first round of the league beating Inniskeen on Saturday. They also played for the first time in their new jerseys, kindly sponsored by Declan and Angela Forde. Training continues on Thursday evening at 7 - 8pm. U11 have a blitz in Aghaloo on Saturday, more details to follow.

U13 Division 3 and 6 panels travelled to away games on Saturday last. Division 3 played Killanny and Division 6 team played Inniskeen. Unfortunately both matches were conceded. Training continue Monday and Wednesday 7 pm - 8.15pm. Division 3 panel lined out against Killanny in the semi final of the Championship on Tuesday evening in their home ground St Oliver Plunket park. Result available on Monaghan GAA.

Our U-15 Training continues every Wednesday evening at 7pm.

Congratulation to Michael Hamill from Emyvale U15 squad on being selected on the u15 Ulster Elite Development team. This is a huge achievement for Michael, well done and good luck. Michael currently plays for the U15 Monaghan team also with club members Rio Corrigan and Luke Aughey, well done lads.

U-17 training continues every Tuesday and Thursday night 8-9pm. League starts on Saturday 7th July.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Finn Family on the passing of Sean Finn. Sean was a member of Emyvale GAA for many years and is grandfather to Matthew on the u13 panel. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

Details of this year's Kelloggs Cúl Camps were launched earlier today and Emyvale GAA are hosting a camp from 9-13 July. This is a fun action packed week where children ages 6 - 13 learn and play GAA games with qualified coaches.
