We had no winner of this week's jackpot, the four numbers picked were 10, 13, 20 and 24. Alison Jones DD, Karen Byrne DD, Shane Dempsey, Drumconrath and Tomas Smith, Kingscourt each win €50 from the Lucky Dip draw. Next week's jackpot is for €1400 and draw will take place in the club rooms on Monday evening. You can do the lotto via the usual outlets and online at www.magheracloonemitchells.ie

Thank you

The club would like to express its gratitude to the Four Counties Cycling club for their generosity in giving the players of both teams sandwiches and fruit after the game on Sunday. It's very much appreciated. And congratulations to the group on organising a great charity event once again. Well done all!

Seniors

Our senior men recorded their second win of the league on Sunday defeating Clontibret by seven points, 1-16 to 0-12. Clontibret started the scoring with two points from play but Liam Óg Murray quickly settled Magheracloone back into the game with a superbly taken goal. Points were exchanged throughout the game but Magheracloone started to pull away half through the second half and sealed victory in the end.

Special mention to our U7's who played at half time in front of their biggest crowd ever!

Next fixture is against Scotstown away on Friday evening at 8pm.

Reserves

Our Reserves were beaten by Clontibret last Wednesday in a very high scoring game. Magheracloone started well and after sixteen minutes were three points ahead. However Clontibret battled hard and went in at half time two points ahead. Magheracloone once again regained the lead after ten minutes into the second half. Scores from both sides were coming quick and fast but unfortunately for Magheracloone it wasn't to be and we lost on a score line of 2-15 to 2-18. Hard luck lads.

U13's

Normal schedule for training. We have a fixture change against Aghabog. Home game that was fixed for Saturday 19th will now be played on Saturday the 26th.

U11's

Our U11's were beaten in the final of the Spring League last Saturday by a strong Oram team. Hard luck lads.

U9's

The U9's will train on Saturday morning from 10am to 11am.

U7's

Our U7's made history last Sunday as they were the first Magheracloone team to play at half time during a senior league match in Monaghan.

Well done to all the coaches who made this happen. It really was great to see our future senior players and their families enjoy this momentous occasion. They are definitely trend setters. Well done boys!

The girls played Rd3 of the league last Monday night against Castleblayney. The visitors got off to a flying start and completely dominated the first half. Our girls found themselves trailing 1:10 to 1pt at the break. However, the second half was a different story. The Magheracloone girls showed tremendous determination and character and just fell short at the final whistle. Final score 4:06 to 1:18. Hard luck girls but a very encouraging second half performance. Next fixture is away to Truagh on Mon 28th May at 7pm
