With the playing season now completely wrapped up and all competitions completed within the calendar year attention now turns to County Convention which this year is being held on Thursday, December 7th in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan.

Convention will review the year just finished at club and County level and assess progress made at various other levels like coaching and games development and the club development programmes and set new targets for the year ahead. Generally the most dramatic part of Convention over the years has been when there are elections for positions on the Management Committee but this year there will be no voting as the one position up for grabs, that of Coaching Officer due to the fact that the current incumbent, Garett Coyle, Monaghan Harps, steps down under the five year rule, is filled without a contest, with former County chairman and Ulster Council PRO, John Connolly, Currin, coming back into the fold.
