St Ultans Report

St Ultans 0-9 Kilmainham 2-13

A strong second half showing secured both points for Kilmainham in the A League on Sunday. The first half was a tight affair with only a point separating the sides at half time. Two early Kilmainham points were cancelled out by efforts from Can Rennicks and Emmet Costello. A Kilmainham goal from Seanie Mahon gave Kilmainham a three point lead but Ultans finished the half strongly with three of the last four scores from Conor Smyth, Emmet Costello and a free from distance by Cian Rennicks.

Ultans scored the first point of the 2nd half to draw the sides level but this was as good as it got for the men in green and black. A goal from Michael Newman  left seven between the sides. Ultans to their credit kept working hard and added a further three points one from Cian Rennicks and two Eoin Kavanagh frees but Kilmainham kicked some impressive scores to run out comfortable winners.
