The Meath senior football championship starts this Friday with the meeting of 6/1 shot Ratoath and outsiders St. Pats.
As expected holders Simonstown Gaels are joint favourites to land the Keegan Cup along with Dunboyne. St Peters, who gave the holders a fair run for their money in last years quarter final, will be fancied by many to claim their first title since 2005. Division 1 league leaders Skryne are keenly priced at 6/1. Gaeil Colmcille are also doing well in the top division of the league and there's good odds on last years semi finalists at 16/1. Intermediate championship winners Curraha come in at 33/1 while Blackhall Gaels are the rank outsiders.
