Liam Harnon @ CB ...... No more walking through Meath defence
John McDermot @ CF ..... Big physical ball winner and would inspire those around him
Brian Stafford @ FF ....... Great play maker , excellent off both feet and would give us a real quality free taker

Liam Harnan - no nonsense teak tough defender who held his defence together and was more crucial the Lyons. Its often commented how Mick only conceded so few scores, that's cause Harnan cut most things out before they got that far
Trevor Giles - we've never replaced him at 11, as a playmaker or a free taker. He wasn't the free taker Stafford was (even by his own admission he wasn't a natural free taker) but he was more influential as a playmaker and fulcrum for Boylan's second great team of the late 90's
Liam Hayes - great man to fetch a ball and I think was vastly under rated by our supporters. He could get you some great scores and was rarely beaten around the middle

Tough to leave out a lot of players Fay/Lyons at FB, O'Malley/Reilly in the corner, John Mac at MF and the holy trinty of O'Rourke, Stafford & Flynn or Geraghty and Dowd and Brendan reilly..

Christ on a bike its so far we've fallen that there's not one of the current panel I'd take over and off the boylan teams.. I'm sure we'll get the whole different time and era and fitness blah blah blah, but man for man I wouldn't take one of the current generation over a former player and a lot of the subs too.. What would this current team do with an impact player like Mattie McCabe
