I think Rowe is better than Joey Wallace, wouldn't be surprised if he was in the Meath panel at some stage next season..

Joey Wallace is a class act, started for the U21s and has a great football brain
Daire is also a great propect and Ive o doubt will be in the Meth team in the coming seasons
You can stick Matimoe from Kells also in this bracket

But to say there are better outthere than whats on the panel is inaccurate
I Think Micko is a shrewd operator and ok maybe he came short the last day v the dubs but
that can happen anyone ,Sean KElly, Trevor and Mick have watched a huge amount of club games
and anyone worth a go has gotten their shot

Those people asking for Wardy and Jamie to be reinstated , these lads have had their go and I thank them for that
But I dont think Jamie particurlary stood out during his time with Meath. Wardy had a few games where he was
untouchable , some where he was anonymous . Theres no doubting these two lads have a touch of class but
we need young blood and the likes of Joey, Seamus and Daire and the future

You are correct in almost everything of what you said there but i do not agree with your view that everyone worth a go has gotten their shot. And as the post was supposed to focus on players NOT involved in the panel should we not be more inclined to speak less of the talents of wallace, power and rooney and more on the likes young players like Rowe O'Reilly and others ?

I would also be inclined to believe that many of our young talents seem to be from teams in intermediate or junior ..McEntee, wallace and Brian McMahon to name a few who player a lower grade of club football. This is interesting for me when there are many senior teams oozing young players playing a higher level

There's no doubt that there is a lot of talent in this Meath panel and outside it . The problem is at the moment it's all individual talent , we have very little talent as a team . We can bring in who we like but unless we have a system that it looks like the players know what they are doing , we can bring in who we like . My view after the Kildare game was to many of our player had no idea where they were playing and going up to the Dublin Game I gave us no chance . Any team that run at Meath will take them apart , and it's not that we haven't the players , to many of our player look like they are running around not knowing what they are doing .

I have seen only a few of those play, but would not say I was especially impressed with them.

If you've only seen a few play you obviously lack an interest in top level club football which would make me ponder why your trying to constantly make cases against everybody on every single forum that goes up here. I would advise you make it your business to go see some of these players as you clearly dot have a word on any of them in particular which would give the general consenses to everyone that you bluff your way through these forums

If I said I seen them all play that would be bluffing,I assure you I don't bluff,I talk about what I know, but NOT what I don't.Most people on the forums wouldn't have seen all those players player, would be hard to get the time.

RoyalTicker - What is the purpose of this trend?
Are you saying that we should have more young players? or are you saying we should be having players from senior clubs instead of junior/inter?
With all due respect to the lads you have mentioned, they probably aren't at the same level as the young lads we have in the panel at the moment, i.e. harnan, mcmahon, Wallace brothers, o'sullivan, Flanagan, mcentee.

Some of these young players that are in the panel arent quite ready for inter county football. Joey Wallace is far to small when compared to other young county stars. I know he's very young but he should be placed on a program to build strength and not thrown in the deep end against teams of the quality of Dublin.

I do agree that it is too early for Joey to be on the panel.

AGREED MAYBE TO DAY AGAINST ARMAGH WE MAY SEE THAT CHANGE? IF NOT THEN MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST CONCENTRATE ON HURLING FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS ,AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!
