Why are none of the players allowed play with their clubs apart from championship matches? Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 21/07/2014 18:18:24 1623284 Link 0 |

I agree with Jack. The Leinster championship has become a joke, 9 out of the last 10 won by Dublin. Also, it's not as if Meath players are being kept away from injuries in their training with Meath. As Jack says it's the clubs that nurture these players and they lose out on them and only being held back for the championships. trim1 (Meath) - Posts: 162 - 21/07/2014 19:04:46 1623345 Link 0 |
In fairness the Meath lads are allowed play the earlier rounds of the League. You wouldn't get that in other counties Jack. Former_Poster (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 21/07/2014 19:08:20 1623350 Link 0 |
The meath players I know did NOT play any league matches this year. Not even 1. It's a disgrace and they should be playing the vast majority of them. Do you think we still wouldn't have beat carlow or kildare if they were playing with their clubs throughout the league? Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 21/07/2014 19:29:38 1623374 Link 0 |
the above post was meant to say lose to dublin and a decline in club standard Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 21/07/2014 19:44:32 1623391 Link 0 |
Dublin also dominated in the 70's.... ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 21/07/2014 20:02:31 1623412 Link 0 |
And ziggy this current domination will make that look like nothing. Expect them to have won 18 out of 20 Liensters by 2024. Meaths tradition and support generated from the 80's and 90's will be eradicated. Don't stand by and let that happen. Demand change and change will come. Thank god for the club scene or I would o longer be a big GAA fan. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 21/07/2014 20:33:12 1623443 Link 0 |
