Meath - Championship Draw - Very Hard

(Oldest Posts First)

Not making any excuses lads but there will be no easy games for Meath this year. We play the Dubs next and if we lose we'll play the winners of Clare, Armagh/Tyrone, Kildare, Roscommon and if we win we'll play the winners of them again or the loser in the Ulster final. SO either way it's do or die on.

Lets rattle the Dubs and give us one less match we can do without!!

Going to be very hard against Dublin, but against those other teams you mentioned, id be confident of winning!

The way Meath are, I'd not be surprised if we beat the Dubs and lost to a much "lesser" team in the quarters! Either way I hope we get there one way or the other. It's been a while since we've given the AI quarters a crack.

It would be a MAJOR disappointment not to get to the quarters either way.. But IF we lose to Dublin,I would expect us to beat any of those teams..

We have a 2 week break this year if we lose unlike the 1 week turnaround last year.

Jimin10 true and the 2 week break is crucial. Break the momentum of our opponent and give us time to regroup if we lose the final. Forgot about that and I believe that was the reason we lost to Laois in 2012. Feeling a bit more positive now :)

Are we kept apart from Kildare in Rd 4 in the unlikely event of losing to Dublin?

We have a Leinster Final to take care of, we will worry about the qualifiers if and when we we are involved in them.....

On the 4A side of the draw Tipperary and Cork couldn't play each other so it must be the same for us. That means if were to be beaten on Sunday the qualifier game would be against the winner of Roscommon-Armagh. Also from here we'll have to beat Dublin at least once and possibly twice to get to an All Ireland final.

We are affected by the six day turnaround as the fourth round games are due to be played on the 26th of July

Round 4B Qualifier is August 2nd so the team that loses Leinster Final will have 2 weeks to prepare.

It's not an easy qualifier but let's take care of the Leinster final first and rattle the dubs on the royals
